Day 5 - 11th of Dec - Gangwon-Do, Seoraksan, South Korea

Morning call wa at 0700. We took our breakfast at the hall of the resort and off we go - SKIING!!!

Daddy, Mummy and me and our skiing suit. Very handsome and cool indeed.

The feeling of skiing is like going on a controlled roller coaster ride.
Skill learned - if you want to stop, make your ski in the shape of an 'A'.
I got the hang of the ski after a while but went crashing onto a pedestrian pave once. Real fun though. ^^ Some of my tour friends and I started playing snow balls too! ^^ ^^

Mummy had to fall down at least 3-4 down before she reached the bottom of the slope.

Daddy!

Climbing up the slope is the most tiring of all, but the thrill of sliding down is all that count.

Christmas outside our resort.

Last night, it snowed. However, we were so alseep that we missed the fun.Regret.
Daddy loved the snow on the car. I think he was also getting thrilled by it! ^^

Enjoying myself. Nice pic. :)

Lunch time. We had a typical steamboat with our knee bent. Real tiring position. Daddy got himself a chair though.

The restaurant.

1330- Arrival at the Charmsori Gramophone Museum - consists of a collection of Edision's great invention

I am especially amazed by this musical box. It is so precise and it really generate a great piece of music. Simply admire the creater.

This is Thomas Edison's favourite pet as well as the brand image of his Victorla's company. It is also interesting to note that H.M.V stands for "his master voice", it implies the relationship between our great inventer and his dog.

A banner in the olden days.

View opposite the musuem.

1630- Arrival at Sokcho, Kangwon Province - Sorak Waterpia.Sorak Waterpia is a hot spring theme park located near Mt. Sorak where 3,000 tons of sodium carbonate water is brought up from 750 meters underground daily and maintained at 49 degrees Celsius.

The resort has something for everyone as it features everything from indoor, open-air hot spring tubs, swimming pools, water slides and a waterfall to an outdoor area designated for couples. It was real fun. No one could ever believe that I went swimming under a temperture of 0 degrees C.

Moreover, I gathered my courage to take out all my clothes and headed for the hotsprings. I dipped myself in a 40 degrees C spring, the feeling was indescribable, though I feel a bit dizzy after that. Finally, I got a real SPA. (not the school based practical assessment ;P)

A pic taken at the signboard outside Sorak Waterpia.

Seafood at Sokcho (famous for its potato too). This is only the first round of food.

Mum and the food. :)

The sea urchin that we ate!

Shells on fire.

"Hai Lui" Korean favourite. i don't find it nice anyway.

Mum and shashimi.

Me and the sucking octopus. Tasteless though. It's just fun eating it. Mummy kept on emphasizing that it is so cruel.

You can imagine the sucking force!

Pic taken outside the restaurant.Me pretending to be an octopus.
